Grab your seeds in Connecticut today

Greetings to all you out there reading this in the Nutmeg State. We have a very special announcement: Pacific Seed Bank products are now available in Connecticut! If you’re unfamiliar with us and what we do, allow us to take a moment to introduce ourselves. Operating out of the sunny Golden State itself, California that is, Pacific Seed Bank is a highly reputable online retailer of cannabis seeds and other products. We have a massive variety of strains to choose from, currently over 500, and our catalog continues to grow. A common question we receive is ‘why are we located in California if we’re serving states like Connecticut?’ Well to put it simply, California has a long and well-documented history with the marijuana industry, and much of that came about before legalization ever took place here. Because of that, the resources for cultivating and developing new strains are truly unmatched, and the climate’s not so bad either. But what we really wanted to do was take some of these resources and put them to good use, and that is why we offer fast, reliable, FREE nationwide shipping on all orders. Yep, you read that correctly! These are just a few of the many reasons why now is the perfect time to buy cannabis seeds in Danbury, Connecticut.

So is weed legal in Connecticut?

It is not yet legal, but the support for legalization is certainly there. Over 65% of Connecticut residents are ‘strongly in favor’ of legalizing marijuana, and over the last year multiple legitimate attempts have been made to include a legalization bill on the 2020 ballot. Most recently, Senate President Pro Tem Martin Looney (D) and House Speaker Joe Aresimowicz (D) introduced a ballot measure known as Bill No. 16, which would effectively end marijuana prohibition in the state. Despite its strong support, it and many other measures have stalled due to the continuing outbreak of the novel Coronavirus. Legislative sessions were postponed back in March and have unfortunately not yet resumed in any official capacity.

Some good news however, is that the list of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana patients has been expanded. Also, we feel that it is important to note that despite the mixed legality, there are currently no laws preventing the shipment or sale of pot seeds in the US, even over state lines. That means for anyone who was interested in buying but concerned over the legal state of things, you can relax.

What’s the difference between medical and recreational marijuana?

While there are many similarities, there are some key differences that can really make a world of difference, namely the common chemical makeups you will see in the two categories.

Recreational marijuana generally contains very high levels of the cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), as it is primarily responsible for the ‘high effect’. Medical marijuana on the other hand, may contain varying levels of THC depending on the strain, but typically the main active ingredient is the cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD). This is the chemical compound known for its medicinal and healing benefits. It can also be compounded by sister cannabinoids cannabinol and cannabigerol. Some of our popular medical marijuana varieties can be found below:
