Is weed legal here?

It’s complicated, but the short answer is not yet. The support is certainly there, with 65% of Connecticut residents reportedly supporting legalization, and over the last year there have been multiple pushes to get legalization on the 2020 ballot. Most recently, a measure known as Bill No. 16 gained a lot of momentum and support from state legislators, but that unfortunately has stalled due to the continuing outbreak of the novel Coronavirus. Legislative sessions have been suspended since March and have yet to continue in any official capacity.

It is worth noting however, that the state’s medical marijuana list of qualifying conditions has been expanded to include chronic pain, which has been infamously excluded since the program’s introduction. On top of this, we feel that is it worth noting that there are no laws in the US that prevent the sale or shipment of pot seeds, even over state lines.
