Is weed legal here?

Not quite yet, but things appear to be moving in that direction. Over the last year, there have been multiple pushes by state legislators and officials to get an actual legalization bill added to the 2020 ballot. Notably, over 65% of Connecticut residents have indicated that they are ‘strongly in favor’ of legalizing marijuana. Most recently, Senate President Pro Tem Martin Looney (D) and House Speaker Joe Aresimowicz (D) introduced a ballot measure known as Bill No. 16, which would effectively end marijuana prohibition in the state. Unfortunately, this and many other efforts have been stalled due to the severe and widespread impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Legislative sessions have been postponed until further notice and have not yet resumed in any official capacity as of yet, which is highly unfortunate given the momentum of the current legalization efforts.

On the bright side, medical marijuana laws in the state have been expanded to include more qualifying conditions. In addition, possession of small amount of cannabis has been decriminalized ever since 2011, which is a great thing as it cuts down on marijuana-related arrests, which are known to disproportionately impact minority communities. On top of all of this, we feel it is important to point out that there are currently no laws preventing the sale or shipment of pot seeds over state lines. So if you were considering ordering but had some concerns regarding the legality, you can breathe easy knowing that there’s nothing to worry about.

Is there a difference between recreational marijuana and medical marijuana?

The differences between the two come down to the chemical makeup and how that relates to its intended use. The cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC) is the primary cause for the ‘high’ effect that is typically associated with marijuana use. It is found in much larger quantities in recreational marijuana than that of the medical variety, though medical marijuana often will have THC in varying degrees as well. If you are interested in trying some recreational marijuana, a few of our popular strains can be found below:

And there are many more like this available in our store. Yes, it really is a wonderful time to buy cannabis seeds in New Britain.

This is a really great service you guys are running. The medical dispensaries are great, but they can be a little hard to access for me. With Pacific Seed Bank, I no longer have to worry about that.
