So is weed legal here?

No, cannabis unfortunately remains criminally illegal in the state of Indiana. In fact, the state is among some of the most strict in the nation when it comes to cannabis regulation, with simple possession being a jailable offense. It’s not a great thing to hear, but we think it’s worth knowing if you live there. There is a medical program, but it’s unfortunately very restricted and frankly not enough to meet many people’s needs. Under the program, very few specific conditions qualify for medical cannabis, and even then, patients are only allowed CBD concentrates that have to contain less than 0.3% THC. It’s not great and we wish the government would come around given surrounding states’ recent progress, but it is a start.

However, we feel it’s worth pointing out that, while cannabis is illegal at the state level in Indiana, and also at the federal level, there are currently no laws that prevent the sale or shipment of pot seeds in the US. In other words, buying seeds is completely legal in the US, and they can even be shipped over state lines. So if you were considering placing an order but had some concerns over potential legal repercussions, maybe this information will provide you a little relief.

So what’s up with CBD anyway?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, and it’s the main ingredient in medical cannabis. Medical cannabis will also usually contain THC, the cannabinoid responsible for the ‘high’ effect, albeit in much smaller quantities. In recent years, CBD oil has become popular, which is essentially the pure cannabinoid extracted from the plant and suspended in coconut oil. It’s great that this has been helpful for a huge number of people, but for some, CBD oil simply doesn’t do a trick, a more full cannabinoid profile is necessary.
