Is it legal to ship pot seeds into Illinois

As a matter of fact, it is perfectly legal to ship marijuana seeds into the state of illinois. What we’ve found is that, regardless of how tough certain states are on marijuana consumption and distribution, no states can prevent you from shipping them in or out of state. We’re not 100% sure why that is, but it certainly is convenient!

The other good news is that as of June 25, 2019, the state of Illinois has passed the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act, legalizing the sale and consumption of recreational marijuana. The new laws state that any adult 21 or over can have up to 1 ounce of marijuana (30 grams to be exact, which is slightly more than one ounce), and nonresidents within the state can possess half of that, 15 grams. Medical marijuana patients can grow up to five cannabis plants within their home. If you are not a medical marijuana patient, you unfortunately will not be able to grow any plants, though it has been said that doctors can easily prescribe these if desired or necessitated. Though they have not yet taken effect, CRTA will go into effect January 1, 2020.

How can I decide on the right strain of marijuana?

There are over 113 individual cannabinoids in all, many of them we are just beginning to understand. THC is what recreational users generally desire, and in high concentrations. While THC does have some medical benefits, the high levels it is found in recreational users may not be beneficial for medical patients.

Medical marijuana users usually seek out plants that contain high levels of cannabidiol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN), or cannabigerol (CBG).
