Is shipping seeds into my state legal?

This is a common question we receive, and it makes sense. The complicated situation between state and federal laws has created a ton of headache and confusion. Federal regulations have made it harder for the industry to thrive, with such limiting factors as preventing legal states from exporting their crops to sell elsewhere. The good news is that these regulations don’t apply to the sale or shipment of pot seeds, so you’re all good there.

And if you didn’t already know, you may be pleased to know that the state has recently legalized recreational marijuana. In June 2019, governor JB Pritzker signed the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act, with the legislation set to take effect in January 2020. Under the new legislation, adults 21 and older can possess up to 30 grams of marijuana (a little over one ounce), with nonresidents being able to possess half of that. The new laws also permit medical patients to cultivate up to five marijuana plants in their own home, which is a huge step forward.

My friend introduced me to you guys, and I’ve never looked back since. I have about five plants right now and I wish I could grow more. My son says I’m a new man, ha!
