Is this legal?

You bet it is! Well, for adults in Michigan aged 21 or over, that is. Back in December 2018, Michigan voters decided whether or not to pass the groundbreaking Proposal 1, which called for a taxed and regulated legal marijuana industry within the state. Despite the naysayers, the bill passed with over 2.3 million ‘yes’ votes at a margin of 56%. Only one year later on December 1 business began selling to the public, and in the first week alone the state saw $1.6 million in sales. Safe to say people really wanted their weed! Another month later and Illinois also passed similar legislation, bringing the total up to 11 states. That’s 22% of the entire Union passing similar bills in just eight years. Considering the almost 100 years of federal prohibition, this seems like a very positive sign of change to come.

However, the federal government continues to stand in the way of progress, choosing to uphold its archaic federal regulations which seem designed to thwart state marijuana industries from thriving. There is one regulation in particular that prohibits states from shipping marijuana crop over state lines, even into other legal states! Not only has this created problems, it also calls into question the very business model of Pacific Seed Bank. Can ordering pot seeds online put someone in legal jeopardy.
