Butterscotch Auto is an easy strain to grow, even if you have minimal experience cultivating cannabis plants. Butterscotch Auto marijuana plants will thrive both indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the grower’s ability to manage the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of California in the summer. Butterscotch Auto seeds produce plants that are bright green with faded orange pistils throughout. Some plants can appear purple under certain lights. If you are going to grow outdoors, you will need to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to harvest. Doing so will ensure that you grow potent and pungent buds from the top of the plants to the bottom. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate they require without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow medium and can reach around 2-5 feet in height. Because the plants reach a maximum height of 5 feet, they require a bit of trimming and pruning to stay manageable. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels should be kept at 50-60% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are constant and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Low-stress training (LST) and the Screen of Green (ScrOG) training methods are the best techniques for this strain. These methods will help grow the biggest and best buds on the plant while clipping and trimming the smallest and least potent buds. The Butterscotch Auto strain requires an 18-hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. You do not need to change the light cycle to induce the flowering stage of growth. This strain will change stages automatically without any assistance from the grower.
