Growing Tips for Amnesia Seeds
Amnesia seeds can be difficult to grow if you don’t have any experience in cannabis cultivation. This strain prefers warmth, sunlight, and fresh air to thrive. This strain was originally grown in the Netherlands, but was initially grown indoors, so it should be a lot easier to dial in the perfect environment for healthy growth if you grow it indoors yourself. It is easy to gauge the perfect temperature and humidity for this strain because of its landrace origins in Jamaica and Southern Asia. Indoor growers will need nutrient-rich soil, ample lighting, and the ideal temperature and humidity to produce favorable yields. Outdoor growers with access to a greenhouse will have an easier time bringing this strain to harvest. If you don’t have access to a greenhouse, then you will need to carve out a window of good weather, typically during the summertime, depending on where you live, to bring this strain to fruition. Keep in mind that these plants have a strong aroma, so you will need to consider that when planning your outdoor grow, especially if you don’t want your neighbors to smell what you’re growing. These plants grow medium to tall, so you will need vertical and lateral space to give them the best chance at healthy growth. Providing a consistent temperature range of 70-85 degrees Fahrenheit and ensuring relative humidity levels stay around 40-50% during flowering are critical for optimal growth. Outdoor cultivation requires a warm, semi-humid climate with lots of sunlight to produce bud-rich plants. Low-stress training, the Screen of Green method, and topping are the best training techniques for this strain. These techniques will increase your yields come harvest time by allowing light to reach every level of your plants. In the vegetative stage, you should provide 18-20 hours of light each day. To induce the flowering stage of growth, you will need to change the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle. This will help produce high THC content buds.

- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Amnesia strain to harvest after a flowering period of 60-70 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 600-650 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 650-700 grams per plant. It takes a green thumb to hit these massive yields, but if you can make it to harvest, you will be happily rewarded with some of the biggest, dankest buds you can imagine.

The Amnesia terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is myrcene, while caryophyllene, humulene, and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Myrcene: Most Dominant – Often called the “Mother of all Terpenes”, myrcene gives cannabis its earthy and woody flavor and aroma.
- Caryophyllene: Secondary Terpene – Found in cinnamon, black pepper, and cloves, this terpene is spicy and peppery when found in cannabis.
