Growing Tips for Church OG
Novice growers looking for a great starter strain should seriously consider Church OG. Church OG marijuana plants will thrive when grown indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the ability to manage the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of California in the summertime. Church OG cannabis seeds produce bright green buds that have dark leaves, both of which are covered in trichomes. The buds are long and tall and easy to harvest. If you are going to grow outdoors, you will need to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to harvest. Doing so will ensure that you grow healthy buds from the top of the plants to the buds closest to the soil. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate they require without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow short to medium height and can reach around 5-6 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide. Because the plants reach a maximum indoor and outdoor height of 6 feet, you will need to control the height of the plants so that they don’t overgrow. Trimming the plants will help the width of the plant stay manageable. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept around 30-70% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are constant and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Topping, low-stress training (LST), and the Sea of Green (SOG) methods are the best choices for this strain. Each of these methods does its part in ensuring higher yields once you are ready to harvest. The Church OG strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. You will need to change the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle to induce the flowering stage of growth.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Church OG strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 400 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 500 grams per plant. This strain provides the grower with hefty yields come harvest time.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the middle of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Church OG: Dank and Delicious
The Church OG cannabis strain terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is bisabolol, while humulene and terpinolene are the secondary terpenes.
- Bisabolol: Most Dominant – Known for being a key contributor to the sweet and floral scent in some marijuana varieties.
- Humulene: Secondary Terpene – Found in beer with high hop contents, this terpene gives off an earthy flavor and aroma.
- Terpinolene: Complex Aroma – This terpene gives off a sweet yet dank and diesel aroma that can be smelled once the buds are broken apart.

I gotta give props to Pacific Seed Bank’s blog, especially when I was growin’ these Church OG seeds. They had all sorts of tips and tricks that really came in handy.
The potency of the buds from these seeds is incredible. Very strong and long-lasting effects.
The variety and quality of these seeds are top tier! I’m so glad I found this brand!
This one will make you feel like you’ve caught the Holy Ghost thanks to how balanced it is lol I’m an indoor grower and don’t have a ton of space, so I get the 5-seed pack size. I love how PSB gives me choices from 3 to 25, so I have choices! The 5 seeds give me just enough for a nice, healthy crop!
a well-balanced hybrid strain that can help with managing depression, the Church OG is an excellent option. This perfect balance of Sativa and Indica provides a great mix of mental alertness and relaxation, found it great for my depression. This strain was easy to grow and doesn’t take too long to flower. Everything on the PSB website is always quite helpful! From all my orders I have always gotten full germination! Including this order!
The plants grew beautifully and had a great yield. The high from smoking this strain was amazing, leaving me feeling relaxed and uplifted. The taste was refreshing with hints of lemon and citrus. It’s perfect for combating stress and depression during the day, and also helps with insomnia at night.
Great sleepy time strain, this hybrid has given me a lot of great nights of sleep and has helped me with readjusting my sleep schedule. The plant was a little tall for me and did not expect it to be so big, but the yield was quite large as well so that was kind of worth it.
Church OG has one of the nicest balanced body and head highs I have enjoyed in a while. Feels really good with its happy head high and relaxing body high. Really easy to grow as well and well worth the garden space.
Yep, this weed makes me wanna dress in my Sunday’s best. Delicious and fresh nug, a smooth and light indica that makes me feel introspective and very calm. I liked growing with pacific for the amazing and dense foliage I get from my plants. They are beautiful and complex…all the long sun branches and beautiful palm leaves. It’s a mystifying plant. I sure do enjoy!
