Growing Tips for Blueberry Auto
Blueberry Auto is a super-easy strain to grow and can be brought to fruition by first-time and novice growers with minimal issues. Blueberry Auto marijuana plants will thrive both indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the grower’s ability to control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of California in the summer. Blueberry Auto produces plants that are vibrant and purple with hints of green and white beneath the crystal resin trichomes. You can get a whiff of the pungent aroma of this strain without ever touching the buds. The plants are fragrant long before you harvest the buds. If you are going to grow outdoors, you will need to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity to get these plants to harvest. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate they require without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow short in height and can reach around 2 to 4 feet tall when grown correctly. Because of the small stature of these plants, you can grow them in a variety of different smaller grow setups, such as closet grows and on balconies. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels should be kept at 30-70% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage. Growing indoors will ensure that the high humidity levels and temperature are maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Low-stress training (LST) is the best training technique for this specific strain. This method will adjust the plant’s canopy so that the lower levels of the plant get ample light and air. The Blueberry Auto strain requires an 18-hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. You do not need to change the light cycle to induce the flowering stage. Because this strain is an autoflowering variety, it will hit the flowering stage on its own.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Blueberry Auto strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 50-60 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 400 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 380 grams per plant. With a short flowering time and autoflowering properties of this strain, the yields are actually quite impressive.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the beginning of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Blueberry Auto: Sweet Fruity Blueberries
The Blueberry Auto terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while myrcene, pinene, and humulene are the secondary terpenes.
- Caryophyllene: Most Dominant – Spicy and peppery, this terpene is found in cinnamon and black pepper as well as some cannabis cultivars.
- Myrcene: Secondary Terpene – The “Mother of all Terpenes”, myrcene gives cannabis its earthy flavor and aroma. Myrcene can be found in several cannabis strains.
- Pinene: Pine Needles – Found in cannabis plants as well as pine needles and conifer trees, this terpene is responsible for the strain’s pine-like notes.
- Humulene: Hoppy Beer – Humulene is a terpene that is mostly found in beer with high hop content. When found in cannabis strains, it produces an earthy smell and taste.

I’m going to review this strain from a grower’s stand point.
I grew outdoors in 5 gallon containers (just to have an opportunity to move the plants away when family is visiting). It’s excellent all around although it gets tall. It doesn’t really give that skunky smell that’s so common in other strains; it smells flowery throughout. I did low stress pruning and the plants got pretty tall, I’m taking about 3 feet+ but it was actually a good thing. A common mistake with autoflowers is repotting too late (because they are so quick) and this strain is more forgiving of that. The plants continued vegetative growth even at early flowering stage gaining green mass before switching to bud production. Seed to harvest was about 70 days. I started soaking seeds May 1st, then put them in 6 cell inserts with seed starting medium, then repotted into 4 inch pots around May 12th, let them root for a few days and started hardening off. I repotted plants into 5 gallon containers around May 20th, just a few days after our average last frost date. I could have started earlier but our nights are cold in the spring, down to 30s F and this stresses out and slows down heat loving plants like tomatoes and cannabis.
I harvested bud in early July. The bud was good, chill and tasty, about 15% THC by my estimate.
I can’t believe how strong the plants from these seeds turned out. So satisfying!
The flavor of these plants is so sweet and juicy, I feel like I’m biting into a fresh blueberry every time I smoke. And the high? Let’s just say I’ll be coming back for more of these delightful seeds. 10/10!
2 of the 3 strains I bought from this seller didn’t germinate. I am a seasoned grower and have no problem germinating viable seeds. I soaked them for 14 hours in water and bagged them with moist paper towel and put them in a warm spot like I always do, it’s been over a week and nothing. I’m pretty disappointed as that’s a waste of $60. My B-52 seeds sprouted within a few days but not the Blueberry autos or the Grand doggy purps.
Sumptuous, succulent, and sweet, with a ripe and juicy taste, Blueberry is one of my favorites. Not only is the taste and aroma delectable, but since it’s autoflowering, it’s so easy to grow. I’m a beginner grower, so this is perfect for me. I plant, it transitions to the vegetative and flowering stage, and all that happens without having to switch up lighting cycles. I’ve tried that in the past and can be tricky, so this is the perfect strain for me. This is a 10 out of 10!
I got blueberry MJ online for a cheap price and I cannot stop talking about it! I JUST started growing them, in fact they are still soaking getting ready for planting. Beautiful bud for a low low price, and I am only 3 months away from my very own blueberry stash. Been thrilled to work with Pacific, they have the best selection and BY FAR the best prices online. Great community too 🙂
The plants grew beautifully with full germination. When I finally smoked the strain, I was blown away by the high. It was relaxing and euphoric, perfect for combating stress and pain. Plus, the taste of fresh blueberries added a delicious twist. Definitely recommend giving this strain a try!
Blueberry has been my go-to strain for relaxation and pain relief. The sweet blueberry taste is so enjoyable and the high is euphoric and happy. All of my seeds from Original Harvest Seeds germinated and grew into healthy plants with a decent yield. Overall, a great experience with this easy-to-grow indica strain.
