Description
501st OG: Multi-Colored Buds
501st OG seeds grow into short and compact plants that are easy to manage and require less effort to maintain. The leaves of this strain are long and wide and attract sunlight, which helps this plant grow. The buds are multi-colored and feature hues of red, purple, orange, green, and even lavender. The top buds are coated with thick layers of dusty resin trichomes. It looks like these buds were dipped in sugar as they glisten in the light. The harvested nuggets are huge and dank, and dense and aren’t easy to break up with your fingers, so you may want to have your weed grinders readily available. The nuggets are green and gold because of the amber pistils that transform when clipped and dried. 501st OG won first place at the 2019 Highlife Cup in the Kush Strains category. This is a massive victory for the fairly young strain. Adding this win to its resume only boosts its popularity in the cannabis community and shines a light on what growers would consider an easy grow. 501st OG’s parent strain are no strangers to the limelight as they have also won their fair share of awards. With a legacy like this, it is no wonder why more and more growers are adding this strain to their grow setups.
Growing Tips for Our Seeds
501st OG is one of the easier strains to grow making it perfect for virgin-growers looking to cut their teeth on. A rewarding strain to grow because of its beautiful appearance and flavor profiles, 501st OG performs well both indoors and outdoors. Because of its smaller stature, you can grow this strain in several safe locations, including closets, balconies, and even greenhouses. The strain loves sunlight and fresh air. It thrives in Mediterranean climates where temperature and humidity are consistent. Indoor grows are a bit easier to control as far as temperature and climate are concerned, but outdoor grows allow this strain to grow larger, ultimately resulting in bigger yields.
Dial in Your Growing Conditions
- Indoor or Outdoor: 501st OG cannabis plants can be grown indoors and outdoors by novice growers. The ideal temperature for these plants is between 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit. During the vegetative stage, utilize an 18-to 20-hour light schedule. Changing to a 12/12 light schedule will induce the flowering stage of growth and get you all the way to harvest.
- Moisture control: Humidity levels of approximately 65% during the vegetative phase, gradually decreasing to 55% or lower during the flowering stage. This change in humidity will help keep mold off of your plants.
- Training Techniques: Low-stress training or LST, Sea of Green, and topping are the best methods for this strain. These methods help adjust the plant’s leaves so that ample light and air can reach the bottom of the plant. It also helps to increase yield numbers to reach their full potential.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the 501st OG strain to harvest after a flowering period of 55-65 days. Outdoor growers should be ready for harvest sometime near the middle of October, depending on when you planted your seeds.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 350 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 400 grams per plant. Considering how small these plants tend to grow, you could reasonably grow more than one plant and double or triple your yields. Growing your plants outdoors will lead to bigger yields, but not by a lot.

I’ve tried many different feminized cannabis seeds in the past, but these are by far the best.
Aromas were off the charts, felt like I was in a flower shop!
These seeds are top-notch! The quality and consistency are impressive—definitely worth every penny!
501st OG is out of this world! Growing it was a breeze, and the plants produced some hefty, resinous buds. The high is wonderfully relaxing, with a perfect balance of euphoria and calm.
I suffer from insomnia, so this is the perfect MJ for when you need to sleep. And not just that light sleep, a real deep sleep that leaves you waking up refreshed and invigorated. This is another strain that has high levels of THC, so rest assured that it provides a major punch. This is one strain you don’t want to avoid.
This cannabis is not for beginners. Takes an expert hand to cultivate and refine. Loving the fresh MJ….the sweet flavors and the incredible buzz.
Been a California weed grower for many years. Used to work on cannabis farms and now just grow for myself. Great fun in the yard!
I enjoyed the chill cruise like high I got from this strain, very mellow and not too potent with great effects on a body high. This strain has a nice sweet tastes to it and I really enjoyed how easy it is to grow. Ended up with tons of weed very easily.
So dope they had to name it after its area code of origin….arkansas? Lol I don’t think so. This is a west coast weed all the way. Grows like gangbusters every summer and yields me more MJ than I know what to do with. That is why I smoke it like a fiend! Gotta keep up with these crazy yields!
Bought this for my grower roommate as a present so can’t speak for the growing personally. What i can speak for is the high, absolutely great if you want to be high for a long time. We light this one up together if we plan to be blitzed all day and chill out. Description is very accurate for this.
Not the highest THC percentage, usually scores between 15-20% THC. Not gonna get you baked beyond belief, but it will make you high….which is just as good, if not BETTER, than being completely stoned and toasted all the time. Buying online really works! The prices are great and the shipping is super fast. I’m like floored at how easily this weed took care of itself!! It does need pruning and a lot of water, but it’s a self-sufficient little guy and gets pretty darn big. Definitely a FAN!
