Growing Tips for Bay Dream
If you’re new to growing, with little experience under your gardening gloves and a rookie green thumb, then Bay Dream is a great choice for your first grow. The strain is easy to bring to harvest and produces smooth-smoking, delicious buds that give you an extra boost of energy akin to a double shot of espresso. Bay Dream, like most cannabis strains, will thrive indoors using either hydroponics or natural, nutrient-rich soil. You can grow Bay Dream either indoors or outdoors and have equally successful grows in both environments. Indoors will be a slightly easier grow because you are able to closely replicate and control the growing environment. Outside, this delicious hybrid requires a sunny and warm climate to achieve its maximum potential. Think about a Mediterranean climate, which provides the best growing conditions for this specific strain of cannabis. This strain is a fan favorite and should be part of your arsenal moving forward. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels should be kept around 50-70% during the vegetative stage and maintained at 40-50% during the flowering stage of growth. Keeping the humidity levels below 60% will help keep mold and mildew off your plants. Bay Dream responds very well to topping as well as Low-stress training (LST). These methods will increase yields by promoting growth in all of the bud sites. The topping method is used to adjust the canopy of your grow so that light and fresh air reach all levels of the plant. Both techniques will ultimately increase your yields come harvest time. Bay Dream plants require an 18-20 hour light cycle to get them started and to get them through the vegetative stage. To induce the flowering stage of growth, you will need to change the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle. You can maintain this light cycle through to your harvest.
How to Germinate

Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Bay Dream strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 400 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 500 grams per plant. You couldn’t ask for a better yield as a first-time grower. These numbers are great considering that the THC content of this strain is nearly 26%.
- Harvest: Outdoor grows should be ready to harvest around the beginning of October, depending on when you planted your seeds.
Bay Dream: Citrus Sweet
The Bay Dream terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while pinene and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Caryophyllene: Most Dominant – Known as the spicy or peppery terpene, you can find caryophyllene in black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and cannabis.
- Pinene: Secondary Terpene – Commonly found in pine needles and cannabis plants, this terpene is responsible for the pine-like flavor and aroma detected in marijuana strains.
- Limonene: Citrus Fruits – Limonene can be found in abundance in the rinds of citrus fruits and in cannabis plants. This terpene helps decrease anxiety and improve lung function.

I’m gonna be very honest here and this could be because I flipped them to flower at week 4 veg stage…my end result looked very tasty, smelled good, ok yield, but kinda weak. I was really looking forward to trying it but got disappointed. The best two are Super Lemon Haze & Sunset Sherbet they both came out very nice with an awesome kick to them, and a nice yield too. 2nd best are Zkittlez & LSD, a little less potent but a pleasure to smoke, gives a nice energy boost, no couch lock. Bay Dream was the worst. Now I have growing week 3 veg stage Bay 11 & Cinderella 99. Heard good things about Cinderella so very excited to try!

This bud for sure helps you feel alert. It made me feel extra awake — almost too much so. I think this would be a candidate for micro-dosing. At least for me, personally. I vaped too much and I got a little carried away. Somewhat paranoid. But in low doses I think it could be perfect, but then again, I’m not very into getting intense highs. I ordered my seeds online and they were shipped hella fast. They germinated well and I got a good yield off em. Just not sure it’s my absolute favorite strain. Try it for yourself, though.
