Growing Tips for Berry Noir
If you’re new to growing, with little experience under your gardening gloves and a rookie green thumb, then Berry Noir probably isn’t the strain you want to cut your teeth on. It tends to be fussy and difficult, even for intermediate growers. Berry Noir will thrive indoors using either hydroponics or natural, nutrient-rich soil. You can grow Berry Noir either indoors or outdoors and have equally successful grows in both environments. Indoors will be a slightly easier grow because you are able to closely replicate and control the growing environment. Outside, this delicious hybrid requires a sunny climate to achieve its maximum potential. Think about a Mediterranean climate, which provides the best growing conditions for this specific strain of cannabis. This strain can work its way into your grow plans forever. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels should be kept around 50-70% during the vegetative stage and maintained at 40-50% during the flowering stage of growth. Berry Noir responds very well to the Screen of Green method as well as Low-stress training (LST). These methods will increase yields by promoting growth in all of the bud sites. The Screen of Green method is used to reinforce the branches of the plant by using a screen near the buds. This technique keeps the branches from breaking under the weight of the heavy buds. Both techniques will ultimately increase your yields come harvest time. Berry Noir plants require an 18-20 hour light cycle to get them started and to get them through the vegetative stage. To induce the flowering stage of growth, you will need to change the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle. You can maintain this light cycle through to your harvest.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Berry Noir strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 450 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 450 grams per plant. These yields are a welcome reward for all the hard work it takes to bring this strain to fruition. Keep in mind, these buds are packed with THC, making them more potent than your average strain.
- Harvest: Outdoor grows should be ready to harvest around the beginning of October, depending on when you planted your seeds.
Berry Noir: Fruity, Skunky, Sweet
The Berry Noir terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is bisabolol, while humulene and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Bisabolol: Most Dominant – Found mostly in Indica-dominant strains of cannabis. Bisabolol gives weed its gentle, floral scent and smooth flavors.
- Humulene: Secondary Terpene – Found in beer with high hop content, this terpene is known for its earthy aroma and flavor.
- Limonene: Citrus Fruits – Limonene can be found in abundance in the rinds of citrus fruits and in cannabis plants. This terpene helps decrease anxiety and improve lung function.

Perfect smoke the end of the day away strain. If you want to usher in the weekend I can think of no better companion. The THC levels are moderate enough to not overpower your body but still gently linger into it. An ideal hybrid for the average smoker.

This weed is a real brain-melter. Gets the juices flowing, but in all the wrong directions LOL. Do NOT use this at work, it’s pretty intense for sitting at a desk and watching the clock tick by. Save it for the evenings, and for the weekends, when you have time to just be languid and lazy and relaxed.
