Growing Tips for Cannatonic
You will need an experienced green thumb to bring the Cannatonic strain to fruition. Cannatonic marijuana plants will thrive both indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the grower’s ability to manage the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. Cannatonic seeds produce bright plants, covered in green buds with loads of resinous trichomes littering the exterior. If you are going to grow outdoors, you will need to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to harvest. Doing so will ensure that you grow potent and pungent buds from the top of the plants to the bottom. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate they require without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow short and bushy and can reach around 3-4 feet in height. Because the plants reach a maximum height of 4 feet, they don’t require a lot of extra space to grow to harvest. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 70-85 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels should be kept around 30-50% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and high temperatures are constant and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Topping, Screen of Green (ScrOG), Sea of Green (SOG), and Low-stress training (LST) are the best training methods for this particular strain. Each of these methods focuses on bud production and increasing the overall yields when you are ready to harvest these plants. The Cannatonic strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. Changing the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle will help to induce the flowering stage of growth.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Cannatonic strain to harvest after a flowering period of 70-80 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 500 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 400 grams per plant. You will be left with massive yields of high-quality bud, but only after a longer flowering period.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the beginning of November, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Cannatonic: High CBD and Low THC
The Cannatonic terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while myrcene, limonene, and pinene are the secondary terpenes.
- Caryophyllene: Most Dominant – Spicy and peppery terpene when found in cannabis plants.
- Myrcene: Secondary Terpene – Known as “the mother of all terpenes,” this monoterpene smells and tastes earthy when found in cannabis plants.
- Limonene: Citrus Fruits – Found in the rinds of citrus fruits, limonene can help with anxiety and improve lung function.
- Pinene: Pine Needles – Found in pine needles and conifer trees, this terpene gives off the scent and taste of pine in marijuana.

I’ve tried many seeds, but these are truly exceptional! The germination rate was through the roof, and I’m thrilled with how quickly they sprouted!
The seeds were well-packaged and all germinated successfully. The plants have been growing beautifully and I can’t wait to see the end result.
With its high CBD content and low THC levels, it’s a gentle giant in the world of cannabis. The buds are earthy and herbal, offering relief from stress, pain, and anxiety without the intoxicating effects.
A new fave! I had been eyeing this one for a while and came across it on PSB. The whole process was perfect. I had a choice of seed pack sizes to pick from to give me the perfect yield. I loved all the pertinent information presented on the website. It was easy to understand and gave me lots of tips and helpful deets to guide me through my growing journey!
OMG my weed is taking FOREVER to bloom, but I am still excited about it and the plants are nearly 5′ tall. Yessir this is some good stuff!!
The high was just perfect – it left me feeling relaxed, stress-free, and uplifted. The plants grew beautifully with full germination and the effects were exactly what I was looking for. The taste had a hint of citrus and earthy notes, which I really enjoyed.
My seeds took forever to grow. It was honestly annoying after a while. The flower was good, fresh, easy to smoke, but I think I’ll stick to dispensary weed from now on. The seeds did ship out pretty quickly however so no complaints there.
Gets me wicked stoned, and usually pretty couch-locked. A vibrant colorful strain streaked with greens and oranges and purples, and usually grows successfully in just about any backyard!
Puts me right to sleep. Thanks PSB!
The ultimate split between CBD and THC!
The CBD hits first and relaxes the entire body, slowing the mind down into a syrupy trudge….
Then the THC kicks in and you are overwhelmed by feelings of great euphoria and confidence.
I always smoke this when I want to feel confident and creative!!
