Growing Tips for Colorado Bubba
Although Colorado Bubba is super-popular among growers, it is not an easy strain to cultivate. Colorado Bubba marijuana plants will thrive indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the ability to completely control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of Colorado in the summer. Colorado Bubba cannabis seeds grow into plants with pointy buds that are green and orange. The buds may appear white, but that is because of the amount of resin that coats the exterior of the bud sites. If you choose to grow outdoors, you will need to hope for consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to completion. Doing so will ensure that you grow healthy buds from the top of the plants to the buds closest to the soil. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow medium height and can reach around 3-6 feet tall. Because the plants reach a maximum indoor and outdoor height of 6 feet, you may have to clip and trim the tops of the plants so they do not overgrow. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept around 40-50% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are constant and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Topping, pruning, and defoliation methods are the best methods for this strain. These methods will help adjust the canopy so that more light and air reach the bottom buds. The Colorado Bubba strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. You will need to change the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle to induce the flowering stage of growth.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Colorado Bubba strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 350 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 400 grams per plant. This is a challenging strain to grow, so any yields are going to be a welcome surprise.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the middle of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Colorado Bubba: Beautifully Full Buds
The Colorado Bubba cannabis strain terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while pinene and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Caryophyllene: Most Dominant – Caryophyllene is known in the cannabis world as the spicy and peppery terpene.
- Pinene: Secondary Terpene – You can find pinene in conifer trees and pine needles. This terpene gives cannabis a pine-like scent and taste.
- Limonene: Citrus – Found in the rinds of citrus fruits, this terpene gives a sweet and fruity aroma and flavor to cannabis strains.

I just finished harvestin’ these Colorado Bubba plants and they’re a real knockout. The buds are dense, frosty, and pack a serious punch. A few puffs of this and you’ll be floatin’ on cloud nine. Bravo, Pacific Seed Bank!

Hits a lot like northern lights, and usually takes about the same space to grow.
Not quite for beginners, needs a skilled hand, needs LOTS of sun, and plenty of water. Similar growing conditions as tomatoes, or peppers.
Can be really fickle to work with, and generally has a GREAT yield!

One of the more impressive strains I have found in this world….the vibes are intense and very delicious….I smoke it every day religiously after work. Usually grab a few brews with my friends and smoke a little MJ out on the porch. Good stuff and it rolls into the stickiest darn Js you’ve ever seen. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed!

Yo, for real though, I’ve tried like 5 different strains off this site, Colorado bubba is the best by far. Make your decision and choose this one. Done. Decision made. You’re welcome.

If you have the time, the space, and the energy, try out this colorado bubba grow from Pacific. I feel like I have tried out a bunch of different seed bank options, but so far Pacific has consistently had the best seeds and the tastiest bud. To date I haven’t had a bad experience with them. Seeds always arrive on time 🙂

I now live in Denver, so I am pretty excited to have this weed in my home. I am just a hobby grower, a grandma with a taste for adventure. I love working in my garden and in the soil. It helps me manage my stress and anxiety, I feel very fortunate. Never had such successful weed seeds in my life, they popped right outta that ground…wow!

I am from Durango and was here when weed was finally legalized! I have been a grower ever since. I’ve tried out a bunch of different seed banks and this one is definitely my favorite. Their prices and shipping times really can’t be beaten. I prefer their seeds as well, especially the colorado bubba. It’s an easy grow with some CO weed energy!

This weed may not offer up the biggest yields, but it makes up for it in POWER! This pure indica strain is a real gem! Hard to find on other sites, and always a winner on PSB. The smoke is light and fruity. Juicy joints for sure 🙂 I smoke mostly at night to help me with stress. Had some good times growing this at my buddies greenhouse lol. Lots of fun!!
