Growing Tips for Blue Widow
Blue Widow is an easy strain to grow and can be brought to harvest by growers with limited cannabis cultivation experience. Blue Widow marijuana plants will thrive both indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the grower’s ability to control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of California in the summertime. Blue Widow produces plants that are bright green, blue, and even purple in some light. This strain is known for being sticky because of the crystal resin trichomes that coat the exterior of the buds. If you are going to grow outdoors, you will need to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity to get these plants to harvest. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate they require without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow super tall and can reach a maximum outdoor height of between 4-10 feet. Because of the height of these plants, you will need to give them ample vertical space to reach their maximum potential. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 68-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels should be kept at 30-50% during the vegetative and flowering growth stages. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and temperature are maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Low-stress training (LST), topping, and Screen of Green (ScrOG) are the best training techniques for this specific strain. Both of these techniques will ensure that your yields reach their full potential from top to bottom. The Blue Widow strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. Altering the light cycle to be a 12/12 cycle will induce the flowering stage and get you to your harvest.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Blue Widow strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 500 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 900 grams per plant. These plants grow super tall and produce massive yields when grown correctly. You would be hard-pressed to find another strain with such a high output of bud once the grow is completed.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the beginning of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Blue Widow: Sweet and Delicious Blueberries
The Blue Widow terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is pinene, while myrcene, terpinolene, and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Pinene: Most Dominant – Found in cannabis plants as well as pine needles and conifer trees, this terpene is responsible for the strain’s pine-like notes.
- Myrcene: Secondary Terpene – The “Mother of all Terpenes”, myrcene gives cannabis its earthy flavor and aroma. Myrcene can be found in several cannabis strains.
- Limonene: Fresh Citrus – Found mostly in the rinds of citrus fruits, limonene is known for helping to decrease anxiety and can improve lung function when found in cannabis.
- Terpinolene: Complex Aroma – Terpinolene can be found in cannabis plants and has a pine, floral, spicy, and citrusy aroma that lingers long after the buds are ignited.

I felt like a mad scientist as I tended to my seeds. Each day brought new surprises—their growth patterns were mesmerizing! Soon enough, my plants thickened up and produced luscious buds. The day of harvesting was surreal; I couldn’t believe I’d nurtured this beauty from seed to flower. As I lit up that first joint, a wave of joy washed over me! The flavor was richer than anything I’d bought before, and the effects were phenomenal. It was euphoric and calming all at once. Every puff was a reminder of the incredible journey I’d been on. Absolutely worth it!
I am so impressed with the results of these feminized cannabis seeds. The plants grew quickly and flourished, producing beautiful flowers with exceptional potency.
The seeds I purchased from this dispensary were exactly as described and resulted in a successful harvest. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
It starts with a happy, uplifting buzz that gradually melts into a soothing body relaxation. It’s perfect for unwinding after a long day or enjoying a peaceful evening.
Sweet blue widow is easily one of the best grows I have had in ages. I used to grow commercial MJ, but I decided to slow it down. The red tape and regulations…they just got to be too much. It’s better to just slow down, grow for yourself, and enjoy the process.
Luckily I still have commercial infrastructure so growing Pacific seeds is a breeze. They germinate quickly and they grow like crazy. It’s kind of astounding!! I am amazed with how quickly they grow and what they produce. I’ll be buying more for this coming season.
It gave me just the right balance between an energizing sativa and a relaxing indica. The high was incredible, and I loved how it melted away all my stress and worries. The plants grew beautifully, with tight colorful buds. And let me tell you, the germination was spot on.
I had a great experience growing Blue Widow – the plant was easy to care for and the yield was impressive. The citrus and earthy taste of the buds was a nice touch, and the high was just what I needed to relax after a long day. I highly recommend this strain for anyone looking for a happy, uplifting high without feeling too heavy or overwhelmed.
Really great taste, this strain has helped me deal with mood swings and negative moods. Growing this strain was easy and I managed to get a good yield amount from it, was really happy with these buds.
Just finished my latest harvest. Took the better part of an afternoon. But mostly all you gotta do is cut the plants down, hang them indoors for a week to cure, then trim those nugs and make them look pretty. It’s a tedious process, but when you’re already stoned it’s hard to be unhappy lol.
One of my favorite grows, i have done this one both indoors and outdoors. And wow this stuff really loves growing outdoors if you can meet the conditions. Grew like crazy outside with a huge harvest. They’re also a rather tall plant so highly recomment doing this one outdoors if you can
