Growing Tips for Chem Scout
If you are looking for an easy starter strain that is as delicious as it is potent, then Chem Scout is going to be a good choice. Even if you’ve never grown cannabis before, Chem Scout tends to be easy to grow even for novice cultivators. Chem Scout marijuana plants will thrive both indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the grower’s ability to manage the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. Chem Scout seeds produce plants that are bright green and white because of the crystal resin and pistils growing out of the bud sites. If you are going to grow outdoors, you will need to maintain a consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to harvest. Doing so will ensure that you grow potent and pungent buds from the top of the plants to the bottom. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate they require without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow medium to tall and produce gassy, diesel buds and can reach around 4-5 feet in height. Because the plants reach a maximum height of 5 feet, you will need to trim the top buds and leaves so that they don’t burn under indoor grow lights. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 68-78 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity levels should be kept around 40-60% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and high temperatures are constant and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Screen of Green (ScrOG), topping, Sea of Green (SOG), and Low-stress training (LST) are the most commonly used training techniques for this strain. Regardless of which techniques you utilize, you can rest assured that they each allow your plants to reach their maximum yields. The Chem Scout strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative stage of growth. Changing the light cycle to a 12/12 cycle will help to induce the flowering stage of growth.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Chem Scout strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 400 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 450 grams per plant. Easy to grow and harvest, you’re going to love the final yield numbers once you clip and dry your buds.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the middle of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Chem Scout: Fresh Baked Cookies
The Chem Scout terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while myrcene and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Caryophyllene: Most Dominant – Most commonly found in black pepper and cinnamon. Known as the spicy and peppery terpene.
- Myrcene: Secondary Terpene – Known as the “mother of all terpenes”, myrcene gives cannabis plants the earthy and pungent aroma they are known for.
- Limonene: Citrus Flavor– Found mostly in the rinds of citrus fruit such as lemons and oranges.

Chem Scout was easy for me to grow, which is important since I always look for strains that are on the simplified side. You can grow them indoors or outdoors and grow to a medium size, so they don’t take up too much space. I went the outdoor route and got about 450 grams per plant, perfect for my needs.

This weed has a harsh chemical taste, a little bitter and dry, but not a bad quality strain. Extremely exciting to have MJ growing in my backyard….it’s a long-time dream come true. Pacific makes getting seeds that much easier. Their products are very high quality, and always ship out within a couple of days!! I love buying pot from pacific, especially since their selection is vast and they ship all over the country!

You like the chemical taste and the skunky vibes….you might feel a little wonky and those munchies are something wild! But if you have your own nug, growing in your OWN backyard, there is NOTHING stopping you from smoking all day and night. Big flavorful crunch dense flowerrrr. It’s a stoner’s dream, but yuh it does take work. Cmon don’t shy away from the work. The good peeps at PSB be shipping this seed all over the USA, you gotta have it to jam it.

Wow you can pracitcally smell this strain from down the block. POTENT chem scout weed is meant for the most experienced scouts among us. Takes a good long time to flower, but the wait is worth it for the larger than average yield. In fact, I was able to glean over 500 grams of fresh pot from my grow! HIGH quality and gets me bakeddddd.

A little high a little low, this hybrid really touches all points of the weed spectrum. I like this strain cause it’s particularly pungent, and it hits really nice. The smoke is a little harsh but it feels good in my lungs, which is something I am always seeking. I yielded around 800 grams, dense sticky flower that goes well in a spliff!
