Growing Tips for Dutch Dragon
Dutch Dragon is easy to grow, but only if you are a master-level grower. Dutch Dragon marijuana plants will thrive indoors and outdoors, but have an easier time growing indoors because of the ability to completely control the climate. If you choose to grow indoors, you will have to replicate a steady environment similar to the climate of the Mediterranean. Dutch Dragon cannabis seeds produce plants with smaller buds and leaves. There are loads of white and faded yellow pistils growing from within the bud sites. If you choose to grow outdoors, you will need to hope for consistent temperature and humidity to grow these plants to completion. Doing so will ensure that you grow healthy buds from the top of the plants to the buds closest to the soil. Having access to a greenhouse is the best way to give these plants the perfect outdoor climate without having to put up with unexpected outdoor variables. These plants grow to a tall height and can reach around 4-10 feet tall. Because the plants reach a maximum indoor and outdoor height of 10 feet, they will need ample vertical space to grow properly. The ideal temperature for these plants is around 70-85 degrees Fahrenheit and slightly cooler at night. Humidity levels should be kept around 45-75% during the vegetative growth stage and the flowering stage, but lowering the humidity every week will help this plant grow. Growing indoors will ensure that the moderate humidity levels and moderate temperatures are consistent and maintained every day that the plants are in the growing stages. Topping, Screen of Green (ScrOG), and Low-stress training (LST) methods are the most beneficial methods for this strain. If performed correctly, these techniques will help to increase the overall yields and improve bud production. Both of these methods will help the plant to hit its peak by adjusting the canopy so more light and air reach the lowest levels of the plant. The Screen of Green method reinforces the heavier bud sites so they don’t bend or break the branches. The Dutch Dragon strain requires an 18-20 hour light cycle to reach the vegetative growth stage. This strain requires a change in the light cycle to induce the flowering stage. A 12/12 cycle should do the trick!
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Dutch Dragon strain to harvest after a flowering period of 60-70 days.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 500 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 1000 grams per plant. These taller plants produce massive yields of delicious herb.
- Harvest: Outdoor growers can plan on harvesting their yields around the end of October, depending on when the seeds were planted.
Dutch Dragon: Fruity Citrus
The Dutch Dragon cannabis strain terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes, and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is caryophyllene, while humulene and limonene are the secondary terpenes.
- Caryophyllene: Most Dominant – Spicy and peppery, caryophyllene is mostly found in cloves, black pepper, and cannabis plants.
- Humulene: Secondary Terpene – Found in beer with a high hop content, humulene produces an earthy aroma and taste in cannabis.
- Limonene: Citrus Vibes – Commonly found in the rinds of citrus fruits like lemons, this terpene can help with anxiety and improve lung function.

One of those rare strains you only find abroad. I swear I was smoking this at a coffee shop in amsterdam! I am really thankful I had an opportunity to grow pot I purchased online….the prices were really reasonable, and the shipping speed lived up to the hype.
I grew outdoors, like the old days. I don’t have all the fancy equipment needed to do this job professionally, but I just like being a grower and keeping it as a hobby. Very nice looking bud and healthy too.

Dutch Dragon is a fantastic sativa strain that gives me an energizing and uplifting high. I love the fruity and sweet taste, and the yield is impressive both indoors and outdoors. As an intermediate grower, I found this strain to be easy to cultivate and was impressed with the tall size.

Giving me super relaxed vibes, helps tremendously with stress and anxiety, and always grows like a charm out in the yard. I purchased 10 seeds online, got them shipped to my apartment and grow right on the patio. Tons of sunlight out there, beautiful, tall, lush plants that help with stress and anxiety. Smoking dutch dragon gives me a light, fairy tale energy and makes me use my imagination HA!

Dutch Dragon has some great highs to it, really nice mental stimulation from this strain and it is not overpowering, a high that hits just right. Despite taking a little on the long side to grow, with flowering taking 10 weeks, these seeds returned massive amounts of weed and were easily worth growing.

This weed creates a rainbow of color and euphoria in my brain. I am absolutely in LOVE with the growing process. I have a lot of success growing indoors, usually in a gorilla tent in my barn. Reflective paneling helps these plants grow evenly and not leggy. Buying online is definitely the way to go…quick and easy. Eliminated the hardest part about growing weed…getting the seeds!

A wild ride, with some seriously nice genetics. I love this company because it’s actually based in Cali and has a great reputation in the area. While their selections fall a little short of competitors, you can at least rest easy knowing you’re buying from the best!

Dutch dragon has an amazing name, and it brings to mind all the fantasy novels I read as a kid! It’s a longer grow, taking about 6 months from seeding to harvest, but is well worth it for the smooth citrusy smoke sessions you’ll have once you harvest. PLUS the yield is something remarkable, nearly 800 grams across 3 plants!!
