Pure sativa landrace strain, Thai Stick, which is also simply known as “Thai”  in many circles these days or as “Thai Sticks,” got its name from its exceptionally distinct method of combustion in which its nuggets are skewered on thin bamboo sticks and are held in place with the stringy fibers of the cannabis plant itself. After which, these “sticks” are then dipped into hash oil so as to increase their potency, as this landrace sativa’s THC level tends to average around 17%. For those who are interested in trying this method, know that dipping Thai Stick into hash oil will make this otherwise relatively moderate-in-strength sativa a much more potent strain as the hash oil usually increases its THC content by approximately 5%.

Depending on who you talk to, some will tell you that this tropical sativa’s energy boost makes it the ideal strain for a morning wake-and-bake session, while others will say that even though Thai Sticks does increase one’s energy levels, it equally physically relaxing effects make it more of an afternoon smoke.

Its initial cerebral effects start off slowly until they build to a glorious crescendo of elated euphoria and happiness that can leave users feeling uplifted, lighthearted, more sociable, and chatty. This daytime strain’s propensity to sharpen one’s ability to focus and inspire creative, out-of-the-box thinking is also why Thai Stick is in such high demand amongst creative types.

Finally, while this is a very rousing and slightly psychedelic strain that some consider to be an “espresso of marijuana strains,” its physically soothing and tranquil effects that eventually completely unwind your body leaving it free of pent-up tensions are why other users prefer to use Thai Stick in the afternoon so that they can take advantage of its initial kick to complete mundane tasks etc. and then kick back and relax once its physical effects take hold.

Thai Stick has a lovely taste and smell, with an aroma reminiscent of a delightfully sweet potpourri of fruits and flowers, a distinct woody scent, and a spicy undertone.

Finally, for those of you who are concerned about molds and mildew forming due to being in a humid setting, know that these sativa plants are highly resistant to both.

In keeping with their sativa genetics, Thai Stick plants grow to be quite tall. However, its green nuggets, which have streaks of brown scattered throughout, don’t look like the usual buds you find on most marijuana plants as their leaves are much longer and are exceptionally feathery or wispy, even for a sativa.

When cultivated indoors in a hot and humid setting, Thai Stick plants usually enter their flowering stage in about 11 weeks and produce an approximate yield of 360 grams per square meter.
